Senior Manager, Legal & Compliance
Our client, a well-known insurance company, is looking for high-caliber persons to join their Legal & Compliance team.
Job Duties
- Provide legal services to the Group's insurance entities.
- Work with compliance senior in a team structure to achieve the results.
- Monitor the progress and development of litigation cases and provide advices on litigation procedures.
- Balance the company’s and legislative requirements.
- Provide compliance advice on marketing campaigns/ press release/corporate standard on stationery with reference to the requirement of the regulated activities, Copyright, listing rule and relevant regulations.
- Provide advisory services on compliance control models such as cross-selling activities.
- Provide compliance review on privacy related exception/regular reports, service providers review, Apps Developments.
- Provide compliance contact for HR department and work with Legal for compliance issues / supports on ad hoc basis.
- Work with business units to identify the compliance requirements, develop control measures and any regular compliance report as required.
- Work with business units for the development of the Social Media platform including standard terms and conditions, campaign rule, escalation logic, review checklist etc.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder with major in Legal / Accounting, Risk Management or related disciplines.
- PCLL, FLMI, AIRC or similar qualification is preferred.
- At least 5+ years' relevant work experience with Legal & Compliance, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Well-versed with the Companies Ordinance, Insurance Companies Ordinance, and good knowledge of insurance related legislations and regulations.
- Ability to carry out research on legislations and regulations in Hong Kong.
- Ability to work pro-actively to critically analyze and evaluate important factors that affect internal control effectiveness.
- Ability to communicate English & Chinese efficiently, effectively and accurately, in particular with legal, regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Strong sense of corporate governance, risk management, internal controls and problem prevention.
- Strong knowledge of compliance issues in the privacy or review of marketing / offering materials.
